Her expertise and areas of research include: Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI), Verbal Behavior (VB), Theory of Mind (TOM), social cognition, Positive Behavior Support (PBS) and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Her passion involves crisis intervention, providing behavior analytic services in inclusive settings for direct intervention to children, families, teachers and support staff, specifically within the spectrum of autism disorders and developmental disabilities. She develops individualized programs as well as training to adult residential facilities for the developmentally disabled.
Laura speaks English, Spanish, French and Portuguese fluently, thus enabling her to reach out to a wider population.
